Rheumatology

The specialty of Rheumatology deals primarily with diseases and conditions that affect the joints and soft tissue of the body (such as muscles and ligaments). These conditions may also affect other parts of the body, including the skin and blood vessels. Rheumatologic conditions may be degenerative (as in osteoarthritis), or may be related to an underlying autoimmune or inflammatory condition.
