Oncology
Oncology is the field of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The field of Oncology includes Medical Oncology (the use of chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, stem cell and bone marrow transplants), Radiation Oncology, and Surgical Oncology. Because there are many different types of cancer, Medical Oncologists, Radiation Oncologists, and Surgical Oncologists sub-specialize in the treatment of specific types and sub-types of cancer, and it is crucial that specialists in all three of these areas work closely and collaboratively together in order to assure complete care of each patient.

The JHO’s network of Oncology specialists include the leading world experts in the treatment of each particular type of cancer, and they work to create a multidisciplinary plan for each patient. Our network includes Oncologists at the leading cancer centers, where there is access to the most novel drug, immunological, biological targeted therapies and gene therapies that are available.
